Kendriya Vidyalaya Sulur, which has been awarded the title of Model School in the State, is considered to be one of the first generation institutions of its kind in our country under KVS. It was established in 1981 under the able guidance of the Founder Principal Smt. Naliniamma.

Kendriya Vidyalaya AFS Sulur was established in the year 1981 as a Defense Sector School. It comes under A+ category schools. The school is spread over 12 acres of lush green surroundings and has an ideal campus away from the city. The vidyalaya has five sections for classes I to X and 3 sections for classes XI and XII. Balvatika 3 was started in the year 2023-24.

The Vidyalaya provides healthy and holistic environment for studies and co-curricular activities, experienced teachers, well-equipped laboratories, state-of-the-art computer lab, spacious playground and necessary facilities for games like football, basketball, volleyball, 400 meter track . , And so on.
